OPAL THEATER ONE WEEK INTENSIVE MUSICAL THEATER SUMMER CAMP!

About the program:
Students learn to produce their own show from start to finish! They choose their own script from a list provided, they hold their own auditions, they choose their music, costumes, sets, props and more!
There are great games and learning experiences every day to hone and enhance talents of young musical theater students! Students also break up into groups and become Audition Judges, Directors, Choreographers, Costumers, Prop Managers, Set Managers and more! All part of the process of producing their own show!
At the end of regularly scheduled camp on Friday, beginning at 5pm, students return to perform their finished show in front of family and friends in all the costumes, music, scenery and glory that they have designed and produced!
Show is free and includes a cast part immediately following!
Student requirements:
•Students should pack their own lunch and bring drinks and snacks, a refrigerator is available (mark student name where needed) and a lunch break will be included in days curriculum
•Students should wear comfortable clothes and solid shoes (no opened toed shoes/sandals, no crocks) ie: clothes appropriate for school
• Students should bring pencil and highlighter every day to class
•Students should arrive 10-15 min prior to start of class at 10am to get signed in and settled
•Students should be kind and considerate of their fellow classmates, teacher assistants and teachers. We believe in being one big happy family and sharing our love of musical theater!
Summer Camp Registration Packets
Registration Packets will be sent to registered students via email prior to first class and will also be available at the front Registration Desk in TECO Hall before class begins. Registration Packets need to be turned in before students can participate. A parent orientation will be presented from 10am-10:15am and we encourage all parents to stay after turning in Registration Packets, to learn about our program.
